This is strictly a roleplay blog for Robert Callaghan from Disney's Big Hero 6. Spoilers will be very frequent here, and I am not affiliated with Disney in any way, shape or form!
If you are interested in my use of icons(more specifically, if you are an artist whose art I have used), please click here.
I only roleplay with mutuals, and I am very selective. Please do not pester me into following you. I only have so much time in my life to have fun with roleplaying, and I want to spend it worthwhile!
The mun is of age, as is Callaghan. However, I am not comfortable with writing smut. If it is implied things will head in that direction, they must fade to black. I will answer NSFW questions, but I would like it if you kept those to minimum(unless I reblog a meme regarding it).
I am completely open to writing violent subjects. Gore, death, torture, you name it. However, I would prefer it if we discussed it beforehand! I am also open to writing touchy subjects, such as mental illnesses and/or suicide, drugs, and the like. I tag whatever may be inappropriate as ' tw: tag '.
Send in questions! Whether to me, or Callaghan, or whatever. I am always open to discussions, whether we are mutuals or not. And always feel free to send in constructive criticism; anon hate will be disregarded and anon will be shut off.
If you are a personal blog, do not reblog anything of mine. This includes promo banners, any PS edits I may make, threads, and headcanons. Feel free to like them, but if you REALLY want to reblog it, at least ask me first!
If you want to make a thread off an ask, please start it off with a new post and tag/mention me in it. I don't like the look of reblogged asks, and I know a lot of other people don't, either.
My writing varies in length all the time. I may start us off with a single sentence and the next reply may be two paragraphs. I do not write novella or script, but one-liners will be frequent. Don't feel bad for not being able to reach my length in a reply, I really don't mind! As long as you give me something to work with and vice versa, we should be fine.
I am a multi-shipper, and I LOVE to ship. However, I do try to keep it with chemistry, and will not ship willy-nilly. Please note it might be difficult to get Callaghan into your muse, but always feel free to have your muse develop an unrequited crush on him!
As a side note, I do NOT ship Calladashi, or Callaghan/Hiro, no matter what their age is. I'm currently iffy about Callakrei, too. However, I do have a soft spot for Callaghan/Cass...

Default verse. Taking place 2 years after Abigail's death and before the SFIT fire, Callaghan shows signs of correctly and safely coping with the loss of his daughter. He now has taken on the role of a mentor for Tadashi Hamada, a young man he has practically taken on as his own son. As long as Alistair Krei stays as far away as possible from him, he's fine.
Callaghan is working with Alistair Krei on Project: Silent Sparrow. He's actually suspicious of the entire project and Krei himself, but he was called personally to assist in building the portals. But with his daughter being the first test subject, anyone would be able to see the anxiety in his eyes.
After the fire, primarily as Yokai. Robert Callaghan is no more--or so it's believed by the media, but Yokai would agree. He is no longer Robert Callaghan, he is now Yokai, the anger that has built up inside Robert's head for over 2 years. All he wants to do is get his revenge on Alistair Krei for letting his daughter die. Callaghan did not start the SFIT fire, and seeing Tadashi die before him is what is causing him to experience Acute Stress Disorder.
Justice has been served, and Callaghan has been proven guilty. Now he resides in prison, charged with attempted murder, vandalism, and theft of government property. Perhaps he'll write a book in his spare time, hoping to be graced with parole.
Pleading the insanity defense, Callaghan is successful in proving that he was indeed suffering from a mental illness at the time he tried to kill Alistair Krei. Until further notice, he is now living in a mental institution until he can prove he is no longer a threat to anyone else.
Callaghan has been granted parole, but instead of returning to San Fransokyo, he has been put into a small town called Radiator Springs in Arizona. Reuniting with an old friend of his, Sally Carrera, he commits himself to being the best person he can be. He must now face the difficulties of settling back into society, but the town sure is making it worse by being far too suspicious of him and his past mistakes.
An OTGW AU. Not long after the alleged death of Abigail, Callaghan is told to rent a cabin to calm his nerves and get away from society. Reluctantly, he does so, but being so used to the advanced world has left him hesitant and a bit lost. Without much cellphone reception, Callaghan attempts to try out fishing, but gets lost on his way to the lake. It's getting dark, and he's trying to find the cabin, but instead he is greeted by a mysterious entity who soon convinces him that a lantern holds the soul of his daughter.
blurred vision and shaky breaths; Tadashi attempts to regain his composure. everything returns back to him like a single apex and his hazy memory erupts forth. he wishes he had a concrete answer to give his professor, but instead he offers a unclear synopsis of the half an hour before.
❝ i don’t i don’t remember, i was just about to leave lab for tonight till someone attacked me in the lot. my bag is gone and my moped. i can’t believe they took that too, they took e v e r y t h i n g. ❞
robert’s jaw clenched as he carefully lifted the student back to his feet, observing any bruises he might have recieved. tadashi wasn’t the only one to have gotten mugged before. maybe this is a sign he should be learning more than just how to help others.
❛ we’ll have to report this to the police,
tadashi. do you remember what exactly
he did to you? where he hurt you? ❜
“Oh, did I never tell you, Professor? When I was accepted to SFIT, I spoke to my optometrist, and these glasses pretty much function as both safety goggles AND normal glasses! Totally shatter proof! I have a similar pair that are just glasses back home, but these are my gloggles! ….Still working on the name, though!”
❛ that’s great! i think that name
is perfect, too. i just had to make
sure that you won’t end up getting
hurt. you’re already wearing those
incredible heels. how do you do it? ❜
❛ tried harder? tried harder?! do you think i didn’t already try my best?! ❜
shackled hands were slammed onto the table separating the two.
❛ do you think i intended for your brother to die? do you think i even wanted him to come chasing after me? ❜
robert’s numbed mind felt almost weightless. and in a sense, those questions were aimed at himself. the only thing he could feel was RAGE and nothing else. he had loved the boy like a son–the only family he had left–but now even he was questioning that notion. did he really love the boy as a son? did he even care about him at all? if “no” is the answer, then why was tadashi’s face haunting him?
❛ i TRIED to save him. is that not enough? a pole COLLAPSED on him. i didn’t start the fire, and the only person i wanted dead is KREI. ❜
with that over, he dropped himself back into his seat, eyes focused solely on hiro. he had hardly noticed the pained expression on the boy’s face until now, an unsettling feeling arising in his gut.
thoughts a jumbled mess now, he could almost relax. robert didn’t even notice how tense his muscles were this entire visit. a heavy sigh escaped his lungs, and his eyes lowered–almost as if in defeat. silence filled the room like a liquid, bearing down on him. a frown bore down on his face, detailing the wrinkles. the same feeling he had felt the moment of his arrest was returning: guilt.
Callaghan has chosen to live in a rather modernized house for a few years after the designs began to appeal to him. He doesn’t want a mansion, because he lives by himself, even though he is a fairly wealthy guy. The house is big enough to host a party and store everything he needs, but small enough to where he won’t feel lonely living by himself, and just be a comfy place in general.
Everything is typically kept in order, but he only fully cleans everything once a week. Thankfully, it doesn’t get as hectic as it used to be, but things usually end up out of the places where they should be anyway.
The bedroom is a sacred place. In fact, the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the house where his office and front door are.
“I thought you of all people would be different.” “This was supposed to be a fun day. You always ruin everything.” “Our flight’s been cancelled… there goes our holiday.” “I’m not angry. I’m disappointed.” “I know you didn’t do it on purpose, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be disappointed.” “I can’t believe this. You always turn everything into such a disaster!” “I’m not disappointed in you, I’m disappointed in the situation…” “I can’t believe this is happening. Can nothing ever go right?!” “I’m so sorry to let you down. I know you were looking forward to this.” “You always let me down. You’re so unreliable.” “I’d expected a lot more from you.” “Stop being so selfish! You’re ruining everything for everyone.” “You’re such a disappointment to the family.” “I’m sorry to be such a disappointment. I know you expected more of me.” “That movie was so disappointing.” “Why is everything in life actually so disappointing? You get yourself excited every time, only to be let down, time and time again.” “You’re not disappointing! Just… surprising.” “I thought you cared about me. Someone who cares about someone else doesn’t let them down like you just did.” “You could’ve tried harder!” ”I’m not going to lie… I am disappointed.” “No no! You’re great, but the sex was just really disappointing.” “Honestly, you’re the biggest disappointment of my life.” “You weren’t there for me when I needed you. Why do you expect me to be here for you now you need me?” “I had higher expectations of this.” “I had higher expectations of you.”
